WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you an increase in certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of the item by +3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.

Upgraded gear is generally more useful, unless the item is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like the eth Titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade items their gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader every few weeks, to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item, however, they are always cheaper than buying new gear. For example, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points while buying a similar item upgrading from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items which can be used to level up weapons tools, armor, and other items. They can be purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be used on any weapon or tool using the help of button, which will show an image of the Item Level Upgrade at the next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the item slot, and the current item level. For instance, weapons will cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of Flightstones or the crests used. Once an item is upgraded to a certain degree it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.

Upgraders for items can be found in a variety of locations, including the main island, as well as a few outposts.
