World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the template for upgrading a weapon is %, it will increase 3percent of its previous damage each time it is upgraded.

The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the current level of the item upgrade. The cost increases as the level of the item increases.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons and trinkets to provide a stat bonus or item upgrade extra effect while they're in use. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors trading, or looting. Some upgrades also have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment with a slot for them. The item must have been at least upgraded to the blue level for a component to be inserted. In contrast to other mods components can only be used once and can't be used multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component that is that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment, as well as some of the non-ascended back items. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it's used on (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of that equipment that require less Upgrade Crystals than are required to reach the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can alter the attack or defence attributes of the weapon or armor. These upgrades can be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them from the cash shop or getting them from enemies while upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of an item will be dropped at the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their gear, even when they're not sure what will be improved following an update.

The process of upgrading an item can be costly, and it is possible that the item will be obsolete or even break if the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items to double or even eliminate chance of failure, and a few upgrades that give a bonus when reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, including any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in various ways, and we recommend getting them up to level 15 whenever you can.

In the endgame you'll find that the Best item upgrade way to enhance your equipment is to use Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components which can be upgraded to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced, but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a Glyph with the same rank or a higher rank, which will boost the value of the glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you will require them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that will boost a specific set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs increase the number of nodes connected to them, therefore it is recommended to place Glyphs in key spots on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. For example that a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes but you should also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes too.

Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to increase the power of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is also known as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items may be leveled to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each item level requires a different number of components to reach and the costs for upgrading increase as the item is advanced in level.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained from completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or obtained from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used for the upgrading of an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be eligible to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.

When a player upgrades an item it is replaced with a different Best item upgrader of the same type. The same armor will receive the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also has its own set bonus. This can be a downside since the item may increase in price even if you don't require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens to be able to do so. The item will be replaced by the same item, but it has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This can be useful for some items, but it shouldn't be repeated often, as it could waste a lot of resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their gear. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or does not swim as a dolphin). The item upgrader mod can be upgraded several times, increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is extremely important in PvP. A well-rolled version can be worth up to 50x the value of the non-upgraded version.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to increase the level of their available equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase the base defense of the piece, whereas upgrading weapon items will increase the damage base and the strength and dexterity required to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear which can have eight upgrades. Each time you upgrade an object it has a chance of failing. The probability of failure increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures will result in the item returning to its original state, which requires the player to purchase more resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item is not able to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. In addition, the item will lose any gained bonuses such as crit chance and attack damage, and all additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or the speed of reloading). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. Slots is a new attribute that has been added to the definitions of items. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a standard equipment item could have five upgrades at a cost of 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they may require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. Whatever the case, players will have to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each equipment upgrade requires a different amount of the ingredients for upgrading.
